Chicken Capsicum

Today I thought of preparing a special dish with chicken – Chicken capsicum. I thought of making a dish which is tasty. Bell pepper, also known as sweet pepper or a pepper (United Kingdom and Ireland) and capsicum (India, Australia and New Zealand).

Capsicum peppers are rich sources of antioxidants and vitamin C. This vegetable is low in calories. My family loves this very much and I too.

Chicken Capsicum Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chicken cubes (Recipe listed below)
  • 2 Onions (Cut into squares)
  • 1/2 Capsicum (Cut into squares)
  • 2 Tomatos
  • 1/2 ” Ginger
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic
  • 2 large Green chilles
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
  • Salt (to taste)

Directions For Chicken Capsicum Recipe

Step 1: In the chicken cubes prepared above, add the onion pieces(square cut) and saute.

Step 2: When onion appears like transparent, add capsicum(use green,yellow or red color capsicums it will look more colorful) add green chillies into it.

Step 3: After few seconds add tomato puree(Take ginger, garlic and tomato in a blender and blend it into a fine puree).

Step 4: When oil separates, add tomato ketchup and mix it well. And switch off the flame!

Step 5: Wait for 10 min and serve it with rice, bread or chapatis.

Note:

You can also add 1 tablespoon of soya sauce and chilli sauce and vomit tomato ketchup.

Do not fry onions till golden brown, transparent onions are needed.

Chicken Cubes

  • 1 tablespoon Corn flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red-chilli powder
  • Salt (to taste)

Step 1: Mix Corn flour, red chilli powder, pepper, Salt with some water. Make it into a paste.

Step 2: Marinate the chicken cubes with this paste. Keep it for 10-15min.

Step 3: Heat oil in a frying pan. When it becomes hot put the marinated chicken cubes into the oil. Fry till it becomes golden brown color.
